‘09 Prospect Watch: Sam Bradford

2009 Draft, Oklahoma, Sam Bradford, Video No Comments »

In honor of Mr. Bradford taking home the Heisman Trophy tonight, here are some highlights of Bradford’s freshman performance (difficult to find any high quality videos from this year).

Anyway, I’m planning on having either a mock draft or player rankings list by the end of the month, so stay tuned. Regardless, Bradford will most likely be the top quarterback on that list should he declare himself draft eligible. He has a lot of intangibles you look for in a quarterback, notably his unbelievably quick release to go along with unquestioned accuracy . In fact, he has eight times as many touchdowns (48) than interceptions (6). Great size at 6-4, but nothing is guaranteed here with the Lions bound to be picking at the top of the draft.

Bradford’s 2008 Stats: 302/442 (68.3%); 4464 yds; 48 TDs; 6 INTs

‘09 Prospect Watch: Mark Sanchez

2009 Draft, Mark Sanchez, USC, Video No Comments »

Short practice video of Mark Sanchez, quarterback for Southern Cal. He initially wasn’t on the first round mock draft back in June, but his impressive performance against Virginia makes me think his stock is on the rise. Considering there have been a few players from USC that haven’t worked out, people have mixed feelings when it comes to picking players from USC. However, I’m not one of them. The program is still one of, if not the best in the country.

Sanchez went 26/35 for 338 yards and 3 touchdowns in a win over Virginia. Highlights of the game can be found over at the ESPN.com video section.

‘09 Prospect Watch: Michael Crabtree

2009 Draft, Michael Crabtree, Video No Comments »

I felt it would be a good idea to post a video every couple weeks featuring a 2009 draft prospect. Until there is a better name for the feature, it will be called the very vanilla “Prospect Watch”. Hopefully everyone will enjoy the video. This week, it’s featuring one of the top prospects for the 2009 draft, Michael Crabtree

He will be eligible for the 2009 draft as a sophomore because he redshirted his freshman season.
